One real pass
Before
In today's fast-paced landscape, small business owners face several challenges. It is important to note that invoicing was designed to be handled manually, but this approach is not just outdated; it is a bottleneck. Here's the thing: chasing payments could potentially cost you hours each week.

Small business owners face several challenges today. Invoicing was designed to be handled manually, but that approach is outdated and creates a bottleneck. Chasing payments can cost you hours each week.
We check it in memory and drop it. What we store: your email, a daily counter, and a one-way hash that helps stop the same draft being rewritten twice.
For the check, nothing goes to a third party. Only a rewrite goes to our model provider, and only because you asked for one.
Up to 20,000 characters per paste. 30 checks left today.
Questions people actually ask
Can you tell me whether my text was written by AI?
No, and we won't pretend to. Detectors disagree with each other, and ordinary human writing trips them all the time. What we do instead: point at the habits that make a reader think "a machine wrote this". Contrast sentences, inflating phrases, passive voice, leftover assistant lines.
Do you keep what I paste?
No. Your text sits in memory while we check it and is gone when the check finishes. For the check, nothing goes to a third-party service. If you ask for a rewrite, that text goes to our model provider over their API and comes back to you; we keep no copy of it.
Will a rewrite get past AI detectors?
We can't promise that, and anyone who does promise it is guessing. What we can tell you: after a pass, the habits on our list are gone, and those habits are what readers notice. Detectors are a different question, and we've left that one alone on purpose.
I think a flag is wrong. Now what?
Tell us and we'll look at it. Some of these are judgment calls, and Word, Pages and an iPhone keyboard set curly quotes by default, which is why that one sits under weak signals rather than faults. Mail support@shovelscout.com with the line and we'll review the rule.
What is free?
Checking: free, up to 20,000 characters, no signup, 30 checks a day. Rewriting up to 300 words: free once a day, no signup. Full rewrite up to 1,000 words: free once a day once you leave an email. Either way, one pass per draft.
What do you do with my email?
It opens the daily full rewrite and nothing else. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we write to you only if you write first, or ask us to remove your address.
Why is the full rewrite limited to one a day?
Each rewrite runs a language model, and that costs us real money. One a day keeps the tool free for writers while making it useless to anyone who wants to resell it in bulk.
Which languages?
English only for now. The checks are built from English style habits, so other languages would get bad advice.
