A writing checker for the sentences that read machine-made

Paste your text and get the flagged sentences, a plain reason for each one, and a suggested fix. Thirty checks a day, no account, and the text is not kept.

Paste your textUp to 20,000 characters

What it does

  • Reads English text up to 20,000 characters, about 3,000 words, in one paste.
  • Marks six families of style patterns: wind-ups, balanced contrasts, inflated words, hidden actors, flat sentence rhythm, and invented debates.
  • Gives one line of reasoning per flag, in plain English rather than a score.
  • Suggests a replacement for the phrase it flagged, not a rewrite of your whole paragraph.
  • Rewrites your opening 300 words in your own voice, once a day, free.

What it does not do

  • It does not tell you whether a machine wrote the text. That question is a guess dressed as a measurement, and we do not sell guesses.
  • It does not store your text, log it, or send it anywhere except the model that does the rewrite.
  • It does not need an account to run a check, a card, or an email address.
  • It does not work on other languages yet. English only.

Who tends to use it

Writers whose second language is English. Textbook English is correct and flat: the same sentence length, the same linking words, the same safe adjectives. The checker points at the places where the flatness comes from a habit rather than from grammar.

People editing a draft that started in a model. The draft is often right about the content and wrong about the voice. You keep the argument and change the sentences that carry no information.

Anyone whose writing has been called corporate. That word usually means a stack of noun phrases where a verb belongs. The checker shows you the stack.

If you want the long version of why this happens, we read the threads where people describe it: what Reddit says about writing that sounds like AI.

Why we do not call it a detector

Detectors compare your text to statistics about machine writing and return a number. The number moves when you change a comma. Writers get accused, students get questioned, and the tool is confident the whole time. A checker that names the sentence and the habit is something you can argue with, fix, and learn from. That is the difference we care about.

Questions people ask

Is it really free without an account?

Yes. Thirty checks a day per network, no email, no card. The counter resets at midnight UTC.

What happens to my text?

It is read in memory to produce the flags, then dropped. We keep a random hash so the same draft cannot be sent to the rewriter twice for free, and nothing that can be read back.

Can I paste a client document?

Yes, and we would rather you did not paste anything you are not allowed to send to a third party model. The check itself runs on our server, and the rewrite calls the model.

Does it work on short text?

It needs a sentence or two. Below that there is nothing to compare against, and every sentence looks unusual on its own.

What if I disagree with a flag?

The checker is a reader with one narrow opinion. If the flagged line does work in context, keep it. The flags are there to be argued with, not obeyed.
